UNS N09945 is austenitic nickel-iron-chromium alloy made precipitation-hardenable by it contents of niobium, titanium, and aluminum. The precipitation hardening (age hardening) heat treatment induces the formation of Ni3(TiNbAl)-type (gama prime) and Ni3(NbTiAl)-type (gamma double-prime) precipitates. These particles are of sub-micron size and are uniformly distributed in the matrix resulting in high strength
